Ration Your Food

One of the niftiest tricks there is to losing weight is getting smaller plates. You might not realize it instantly, but just like this you’re not eating as much as you used to, and because you didn’t notice it with your eyes, your body won’t notice the change at first either. By tricking your body like this you’ll start losing weight, while subconsciously feeling like you’re still eating as much as you used to. You can also try to use specifically colored plates for specific dishes. For example, something healthy like a regular salad can be eaten on a green plate, while something harmful like a hamburger can be eaten on a black plate. This will remind you of the effect it has on your body, and it will subconsciously make you desire that food less than before.

 

Keep Them Out of Sight

By removing any sort of junk food from your house you will essentially feel cleaner. If you constantly have a bag of cheerios on your desk you will never let that bag escape your sight. Make sure that there is no junk food anywhere near your working place either. This doesn’t mean that you have our permission to throw anyone that eats junk food out of your office because they tempted you. Just make sure that you stay away from avid junk food eaters and you will be fine.

 

Don’t Watch Television While You Eat

We know what we said about distractions, but that doesn’t mean that you can just forget about the eating process altogether and concentrate on whichever politician was busted for breaking the law last night. No, forget about your phone altogether while you eat. It is the only way to make sure that you will be fully dedicated to eating as little as possible and as slowly as possible. If your mind is somewhere else then you will go on auto mode, which is basically one of the worst mindsets to be in while you eat. You will eat faster than ever, and you will also eat as much as possible. Avoid this by putting your phone down, turning off the tv, and by concentrating on what’s on your plate.

 

In conclusion, eat as slowly as possible and make sure that you avoid junk food as much as possible. Stay away from any electronics while you eat and make sure that you don’t eat too much junk food by using clever little mind tricks.
